Rosta™
Rosta™ is a software program that runs on the fire station’s PC. It has a serial interface with the RFCS-2 retained firefighter callout system installed in the fire station.
The system is designed as a method of intelligently mobilising Fire Service vehicles, matching vehicle type and crew skill-set to incident requirement from a pool of available firefighters.
On a station-by-station basis, the program will:
- Store the Name, Rank, Brigade ID Number, Qualifications and other relevant information.
- Hold the Brigade’s minimum crew levels for all the vehicles on the station. (For the purpose of this description, vehicle refers to any fire service vehicle - front line pump, aerial ladder, water carrier, etc.)
- Provide a matrix or roster to enable the station’s firefighters to enter periods of availability and non-availability.
- Create teams in accordance with availability and the Brigade’s crewing parameters.
- Program the RFCS-2 with the teams on every crewmember change.
- Display on demand and in ‘real time’, the station’s current crew/vehicle status.
- Calculation individual firefighters’ availability records.
- Log individual ‘time at incident’ and skills used; breathing apparatus, ladder work etc. as an aid to skill currency monitoring.
- Capable of being addressed over a Local/Wide Area Network
- Data may be exported to other software applications as required.
